Too warm to walk to the nearest ice cream shop or supermarket?

No problem: Ice cream can also be prepared at home.

If

yoghurt ice cream

is one of your favorites, this recipe must be on your summer to-do list: you only need four ingredients, a little time and no ice cream maker.

Here we go!

Make yoghurt ice cream yourself: the ingredients

  • 200 grams of cream

  • 80 grams of powdered sugar

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 350 g yogurt (at least 3.5% fat)

It's so easy to make yoghurt ice cream yourself - without an ice cream maker

  • First, whip the cream until stiff.

    Read here how this works without a mixer.

  • Mix together the powdered sugar, lemon juice and yoghurt and fold in the whipped cream.

  • Fill everything into an oblong shape and put it in the freezer.

  • Take out the yoghurt ice cream every 30 minutes and stir well with a spoon or puree with a hand blender.

    After two hours, stirring once an hour is enough.

  • The yogurt ice cream should freeze for at least six hours.
