Another attack:
Violence against medical staff in hospitals continues, and cases of this kind seem to be gaining momentum and becoming part of routine.
A detainee who arrived at Haemek Hospital in Afula, accompanied by two police officers, rioted today (Thursday) in the psychiatric emergency room and caused extensive damage, sowing terror among the medical staff there.
Only luckily no one was physically injured from the incident, after security guards arrived at the scene.
The psychiatric emergency room does not have a permanent security position, and the Medical Association has been demanding for some time that the policing positions agreed upon in the government decision also include the psychiatric emergency rooms.
This coming Sunday, information meetings will be held in all the psychiatric hospitals in the country for two hours, in protest of the violent case at the Valley Hospital.
The chairman of the Medical Association, Prof. Hagai, said of the incident: "The political reality must not stop the move to eradicate violence in the health system.
Hari will use all the tools at its disposal in order to restore security to the employees of the health system. "
