Actor Pierce Brosnan, 69, and his son Paris, 21, are campaigning for the environment.
With a video, the two promote the safe disposal of plastic waste.
"Plastic is forever, it's time to find clever ways to deal with it," says Brosnan.
The video is part of a publicity campaign for the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm environmental conventions.
Signatories, including Germany, have banned the export of plastic waste to countries that cannot properly dispose of the material.
The US is not a signatory.
Brosnan, who is also a US citizen, and his son are calling on residents of countries that have not yet signed up to pressure their governments.
