"Heavy fires in the city of Lysychansk caused by the Russian invaders" which launched "more than a hundred rockets".
This was stated by the governor of the extreme eastern Ukrainian oblast of Lugansk, Serhiy Gaidai, specifying that "entire neighborhoods are under fire from the Russians" who use "artillery and mortars".
Gaidai speaks of "numerous civilian casualties", but "despite the fires, the city continues to be at the forefront of Ukrainian resistance to the occupiers. Lysychansk is defending itself!".
The village of Katerynivka in the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) "has been taken, and is under our control," Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, quoted by Interfax, announced on Telegram.
"Akhmat's special forces units, together with the allied forces, liberated another location in the Lugansk People's Republic, the village of Katerynivka," said Kadyrov.
