As a result, talks with the BBC will begin tomorrow to host next year's festival in the UK even though the Ukrainian culture minister has asked for further talks.
"EBU fully understands the disappointment that greeted the announcement that the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest cannot be organized in Ukraine. The decision was guided by our responsibility to ensure the safety of all who work and participate in the event," he said. reads in a note from EBU.
"At least 10,000 people are accredited to work during the event, between staff and journalists. In addition, it is expected that another 30,000 fans from all over the world will arrive.
