In Germany it is muggy, warm and hot in many places.
However, the probability of thunderstorms and severe weather increases.
"The Qiara thunderstorm is moving from France to the British Isles and is shoveling muggy, warm air masses into the south and west of the country," said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach.
To the north and east of this, Hoch Frido ensures plenty of sunshine and temperatures that continue to rise.
According to the DWD, individual thunderstorms with heavy rain, hail and squalls are to be expected
from
Thursday afternoon .
They should then increasingly spread to the south-west and west.
In the night of Friday
, strong thunderstorms threaten, especially from Baden-Württemberg via Rhineland-Palatinate to Hesse and later also in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Partly storms are to be expected due to heavy rain with local risk of flooding.
During the course of the day
on Friday
, showers, thunderstorms and local storms with heavy rain and hail are still possible.
Northeast of the Elbe it will probably stay dry until the evening, according to the DWD.
The temperatures on Friday will rise to a muggy 25 to 30 degrees, in the northeast up to 34 degrees.
Since it should initially remain dry there, according to the DWD, the risk of forest fires should rise again to the highest level.
According to the meteorologists, heavy showers and thunderstorms with a risk of severe weather due to heavy rain are to be expected on Saturday night, especially in the south-east and in the Alps.
Otherwise, the thunderstorms should gradually subside.
