Israel, no soldier intentionally hit the reporter

(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, JUN 24 - Shireen Abu Akleh, the Al Jazeera reporter, "was not intentionally hit by no Israeli soldier".

The military spokesman said this in response to the conclusions of an investigation conducted by the UN Human Rights Commission.

"It is still not possible to determine whether she was killed by Palestinian militiamen who were shooting indiscriminately or inadvertently by an Israeli soldier," she added.

"The Palestinian refusal to deliver the bullet and to conduct joint investigations with the US - she concluded - speaks volumes about the reasons".
