The rock legend has won her own cinematic musical biography, and with one visual director and one Tom Hanks - it's no surprise that "Elvis" has become one of the most talked about films of the era.

Biography has always been one of the most beloved genres in the world of cinema.

Countless movies based on stories of more or less familiar characters have come out over the years, and naturally not all of us have heard of them - but some have become ones we had no chance of missing.

Want an example?

Look how the whole world watched in hysteria in 2018 in "Bohemian Rhapsody", the film about the band Kevin - and in particular about the legendary vocalist Freddie Mercury.

Despite the lukewarm reviews, the film grossed about $ 900 million worldwide, won four Oscars (one of them for lead actor, Rami Malek), gave new blood to fans of the British band and mostly made it even bigger than it was before.

In recent years we have also watched biographical films about Elton John ("Rocketman"), Aretha Franklin ("Respect") and even Billy Holiday ("US Government vs. Billy Holiday"), with films about the famous composer Leonard Bernstein on the line And even about a legendary singer no less than Elvis (but so musically different from him) - Madonna.

The one to be honored this time is Elvis Presley, whose new Buzz Lorman film ("Moulin Rouge," "The Great Gatsby") follows the career of the rock 'n' roll legend, who died in 1977 at just 42 years old.

Defined as one of the most influential and successful singers in history (after all, 500-300 million copies of his songs and albums are not something to walk on) is played here by Austin Butler, who was not exactly a well-known actor - but now seems to be on his way to becoming a big star.

It is far from clear whether there is an Oscar in Butler's near future, but there is no doubt that the fact that he wore more than 90 costumes in the film and studied Presley's mimicry for about six months greatly contributed to him "getting" into the coveted role.

By the way, Presley, in the movie you will find another Presley - Priscilla, who is Elvis' wife.

In the film, she is played by the Australian Olivia De Jong, who is known as from the "New World" series of Netflix.

Of course, she also got into some intriguing costumes, so that her style would be as similar as possible to that of the real Priscilla, who by the way watched "Elvis" and said that she was very excited about it.

You can also find Tom Hanks in "Elvis," in which he plays Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis' manager whose relationship was known to be uneven, to say the least.

Here Hanks wins two Oscars and presents the character of Parker to evil, an unconventional role at all for the beloved actor.

Another thing that was unconventional for Hanks was the character's need to go through three to five hours each day of filming so that the hair, makeup and prosthetics teams could make him look like Parker's son.

As one of the most talked about films of the summer, there is no doubt that the combination of the visual aesthetics of Lorman, who has become one of the hallmarks of the Australian Lorman, and the musicality that accompanies the character of Elvis Presley, who knew in his rather short life several ups and downs.
