Street vendors abound and offer simple sparkling wines for more than thirty euros.
While the bonneteau players swindle tourists by the dozens in the middle of the Champ-de-Mars, the tuk-tuks transport their customers without complying with the regulations, at the risk and peril of their users.
The police headquarters has reactivated, since June 20 and until September 4, its Tourism plan.
Initially, this system was created in conjunction with hoteliers to fight against thefts suffered by Asian tourists who arrive on vacation often with large sums of cash.
It then extended to 7 tourist areas.
This Wednesday, in less than 24 hours, the police had to make 16 arrests (5 for theft, 6 for street hawking, 5 for violation of the legislation on foreigners), evict 176 people from the area and seize 97 kg of goods.

In addition to the scammers with false petitions, there are the "tressors" forcing passers-by to pay after having forced them to have a bracelet put on them, all just under the Eiffel Tower.
