Several hours after the decision, hundreds of people are still demonstrating outside the highest American court in the capital.
But there are demonstrations in New York too - two marches in Union Square and Washington Square - Boston, Miami and Los Angeles.
Thousands of protesters who are destined to increase, especially on the west coast, with the closure of offices.
Denver, Atlanta, Chicago and Philadelphia are just some of the cities where demonstrations are taking place.
But also in Austin, Texas, one of the states in which a hyper-restrictive law on abortion is already in force and which is about to permanently ban it in the coming days.
