Fines in sight for traders and professionals who from Thursday will not allow electronic payments via Pos. In fact, on June 30th the new rules foreseen by the latest Pnrr decree take effect, which for shopkeepers, artisans and professional firms no longer provide only the obligation to accept payments by card, but also the application of sanctions in the event of non-compliance with the law.
The decree brought forward the entry into force of the fines by six months (several times foreseen but always postponed).
For those who refuse electronic payment, there is an administrative penalty of 30 euros, increased by 4% of the value of the transaction for which acceptance has been refused.
