Earlier this month, Yazdan Yazdanpanah spoke to his peers at the World Health Organization (WHO), where he was moderating a meeting on monkeypox.
"You have to change your name," pleaded the professor of medicine, head of the ANRS, the public agency for research in emerging infectious diseases.
“For the patient, it is extremely stigmatizing and difficult to live with,” he confides to us, he who took care of it at the Parisian Bichat hospital where he practices.
