A situation that is unacceptable and embarrassing, when it comes to youth work, and the need to guarantee children a scholastic orientation that makes them aware of the opportunities that technological innovation gives.
This is the employment picture given by Fabiana Dadone, Minister for Youth Policies, on the sidelines of the “Young Innovation Business Forum”, the event of the National Association of Young Innovators underway in Milan.
“The image of young people who do not want to work is an image that has been very exasperated.
There is a large part of young people who want to work, to invest in themselves, but who are offered unacceptable contracts, with salary or wage levels that are embarrassing.
Then there will certainly be a part of young people who do not want and need to work, but what we have to do is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to work and to do it at the right contractual and wage level ".
“Innovation matters a lot, because it has helped to change even traditional crafts.
The importance now is to make young people understand this change in worlds such as those of craftsmanship or agriculture have evolved technologically, but also how digital is not just a PC world, but is part of every area of the world of work".
“That of school guidance remains a key reform to be able to guide children.
We have a big problem of young people who do not work and do not study, but to be able to guide them we must also be able to tell them how the world of work has changed ".
