Are you also tired of taking part in an unfinished race after your own apartment?
What is considered standard in the United States and Europe, here in Israel it is taking its first steps, and we mean the long-term rental model.
It is true that this is not a property owned by the tenants, but when you enter and sign for many years to come, the feeling is that your home is.
In this case, it is highly recommended to part with the feeling of ephemerality, and adopt a slightly more regular approach.
Where do you start?
It is clear that the design of the space.
If you are already making the move, it is worth investing in upgrading the space without breaking walls and without making structural changes.
Just decoration, color and the right choice of the various furniture items.
This is exactly what Michal Eisenberg, an interior designer by training, did when she moved with her family to a long-term rented apartment.
Through redesign, it has given a homely, updated look and turned the standard contractor apartment into a stylish, fun apartment that invites a stay and family fun.

Property: Long term rent apartment
Location: Beit HaPark neighborhood, Or Yehuda
Budget: about 50,000 shekels
Area: 130 sqm
This is how the makeover was designed
Entrance hall
The entrance foyer is accentuated by an old sewing machine that functions as an entrance dresser, on which decorative items are placed and above which is a round mirror and a minimalist shelf.
This corner is an example of not having to invest much to get a well-designed and pleasing to the eye result.
In addition, it is important to remember that it is worthwhile and even recommended to use the items that are available to us, along with the purchase of the new items.
Using existing items makes it possible to create an important sentimental connection, and in any renovation and upgrade of the space it is recommended to take them into account.

The kitchen
To the standard kitchen, the couple added an island, creating two seats with a fortified surface that fits the kitchen in graphite gray colors.
In this way the kitchen has been significantly upgraded - both due to the added work surface, and due to the fact that it is now also used as an alternative seating area.

The dining area
A round dining area corresponds with the round wooden table on the balcony.
The chairs around the dining area match the bluish palette that characterizes the space.
A central light fixture made of blackened metal casts a beam of light on the center of the table, which contributes to the designed look.

The living room
The living room features interesting material games - a wall covered with wooden steps in a contemporary look, bright curtains that complete the look and bring into the space a soft light that penetrates from the outside and tables that combine wood and metal.
Two works of art hang on the wall and correspond with the blue armchair located in the space and with the rug that also incorporates matching colorful allusions.

The balcony
Round wooden table with chairs in a gray-blue color and surrounded by chairs for more comfortable and less formal sitting.
Plenty of potted plants and vegetation created a stylish, fresh and inviting look.
In general, the use of vegetation causes a dramatic change in appearance.
Vegetation is a relatively inexpensive and accessible element.
You should choose durable vegetation, one that will not enslave you to irrigation and maintenance.

The bathroom
The bathroom has been upgraded with a combination of a wooden shelf with a white sink with a dark finish that emphasizes its rounded shape.
Another wooden shelf creates space for placement of decorative items that add charm and design interest to the small space.
