You can be disappointed after the
Officine Générale
fashion show .
Not by its fashion, which hasn't changed for a decade… to the delight of its loyal clientele.
Even Pierre Mahéo, its creator and leader, agrees in his note of intent written by himself as a kind of letter (to the world): “
In fact, things have not changed much.
I think I stayed pretty much the same.”
Indeed, we find the same
“delicate nonchalance”
of his costumes, his choice of precise fabrics and his eye for small details (that half-tone of gray, that little centimeter of ease in the build of a jacket) that change everything... The disappointment would rather come from the fact that, that day, in the courtyard of the National Archives Museum, the looks pass too quickly for us to be able to appreciate the perfection of this ready-to-wear, which is never as beautiful as in (real) life.
