Stock market: Tokyo, opening higher (+ 1.01%)

(ANSA) - TOKYO, June 27 - The Tokyo Stock Exchange opens the first session of the week with a plus sign, taking its cue from the sharp acceleration of US stock indices.

    At the opening, the Nikkei benchmark marks a progress of 1.01% to 26,760.62, scoring a gain of 268 points.

On the currency market, the yen remained stable against the dollar just above a level of 135 and against the euro at 142.70.
