After two years, "Westworld" returns to the screen in the fourth season • Arun Paul ("Breaking Bad"), who plays Caleb the soldier, tells, among other things, about the effect of the Corona plague on the filming of the season and says: "The series has a basis in our reality today.

After a two-year hiatus, today marks the fourth season of HBO's Westworld science fiction drama series.

The dystopian series is a kind of dark odyssey that takes place in the not-too-distant future, around the middle of the 21st century, and heralds the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new life form on Earth.

When it came out in 2016, the plot of the series revolved around a technology theme park in the form of the Wild West, which inhabits humanoid androids called "hosts" and people who are hosted and experience planned scenarios that are understandable to the park's user experience.

Last season the drama expanded beyond the park, in a reality where human lives are controlled by a powerful artificial intelligence system.

In the new season, the struggle between machines and humans escalates, with new and dangerous technology threatening all sides and putting alliances and loyalties to the test while both sides prepare for war.

The series is signed by screenwriters Jonathan Nolan (director Christopher Nolan's brother, "The Dark Knight") and Lisa Joy, and the main producers include director JJ Abrahams, who is responsible for the successful series "Lost" and "Films" Star Wars "and" Mission Impossible ".

The series' big ensemble includes Ed Harris, Owen Rachel Wood and British Tandy Newton, who won Emmy for her performance.

In total, Westworld has won nine Emmy Awards.

Last season she was joined by actor Aaron Paul, who is best known as Jesse Pinkman from the masterpiece series "Breaking Bad" in a role that won him the Emmy Award three times a decade ago.

Since then he has managed to star in series like "The Road" and the action movie "The Need for Speed", and will soon be seen again as Jesse in the final episodes of "Trust Sol".

In "Westworld," he plays Caleb, a former soldier who assists veteran host Dolores (Wood) after she escapes the park.

"The possibility that I would join the series existed immediately after the pilot was filmed, but it took a while for me to clear the schedule, so I contented myself with being a devout spectator," Paul says in an interview to promote the new season. "I really pinched myself that this is happening. I said yes already in the first meeting with the creators, and the whole staff welcomed the new child who came to the school and I immediately became part of the family."

"There is a sense that this series is bigger than one can imagine about the future and still has a basis in reality as we know it today. In the new season there is a significant leap in time from last season's events, and Caleb carries post-trauma with him while realizing the fight against machines is far from over."

Between seasons the real world began to deal with a global epidemic, to what extent did it affect?

"We went back to filming with a new world order, all of humanity experienced something unprecedented. It was a scary time, and in retrospect we are already starting to adjust. But we lost a crew member who got rid of Corona, and of course we took everything seriously on set. "Far away in capsules and wearing masks and shields everywhere, it was difficult to make a connection as we are used to. But this is life right now and doing what is necessary."

The fourth season of "Westworld" will be available on yes, HOT and Cellcom TV.
