TURIN - The Mu-Ch | opens on Friday 1 July in Settimo Torinese

Museum of Chemistry, in the former Siva, the paint factory in which Primo Levi worked.

It is the first interactive museum in Europe dedicated to chemistry, which lends itself to teaching for children and adolescents.

The Mu-Ch - an idea of the Municipality of Settimo Torinese and the Ecm Foundation, designed by the Pleiadi Group, created by Ett, and financed by the National Plan for the social and cultural redevelopment of urban areas - stems from the desire to create a place that is meeting and discovery, in which young and old can have an immersive and engaging experience in the world of science.

The museum was born in the former Siva paint factory, whose laboratory was directed by Primo Levi, after an important redevelopment of the spaces.

The structure houses several rooms, including a Bookshop, a conference room, the C-Lab - a specialized scientific laboratory, where you can experiment safely -, the Reading Room with the Planetarium.

The main space is the one dedicated to the permanent exhibition with 28 exhibits of chemistry and experiments, analogue and digital, that all visitors can try: the exhibition is divided into five areas dedicated to a different topic of chemistry and it is possible to learn more through experiments and interactive installations.

In the Chemical bar, an American bar from the 1980s, chemical reactions are served.

Thanks to the collaboration with the Levi Center, which supported the project from the beginning, it is possible to visit what was once Primo Levi's office, set up with video installations and some panels to make known the life and work of the great writer and chemist.
