A stranger shot a 31-year-old man in Kiel on Monday evening.
As the police and prosecutors announced, the act of violence occurred around 11:15 p.m. in the Gaarden district on the open street.
The perpetrator fired several times and continued to flee.
Despite resuscitation efforts, the victim died in hospital a short time later.
According to the authorities, resuscitation attempts in a clinic were unsuccessful.
A forensic examination is to follow.
The authorities did not provide any further information, citing the ongoing investigation.
However, they announced further information for the course of the day.
