Netflix France is rushing into the breach opened by Disney+ which announced that its next cartoon,
Strange World,
would not be released in theaters in our country.
Tuesday, during a meeting with the association of media journalists, Damien Bernet, director of development for Netflix in France, clearly questioned the chronology of the French media.

This, just signed in January 2022 by Netflix, only authorizes the latter to exhibit a film on its platform 15 months after the theatrical release.
“This timeline cannot hold.
It does not correspond to usage.
The public needs to have the contents quickly.
Putting them on a shelf or in the fridge for 15 months makes no sense today.
And that doesn't help the movies.
All that generates is piracy,”
asserts Damien Bernet.
When signing the agreement, the former Minister of Culture, Roselyne Bachelot, estimated that the discussions could be reopened in January 2023.
