(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 28 - The Khamovnichesky district court of Moscow has sentenced Ilya Yashin, one of the main Russian opponents, to 15 days of arrest: Novaya Gazeta Europa reports them citing Yashin's Telegram channel.
The dissident is accused of "disobedience to the police" but the accusations against him are considered to be of a political nature.
The Russian government is increasingly exacerbating the pressure of dissent.
In March, Russia also entered into force a law that provides for up to 15 years of imprisonment for the dissemination of information on the army that should be deemed "false" by the Russian authorities.
