The successful and beloved comedy series, which aired for 8 seasons between 1984 and 1992, will return to the screen in a remake • Alyssa Milano and Tony Danza will return to play their iconic characters

New life around the corner - and after 30 years: Another mythological eighties production wins a sequel series a few decades after it went off the screens, and this time it's "Who's the Boss?".

The award-winning comedy series aired for eight seasons, from 1984 to 1992, and included 196 episodes.

Not that you need a refresher, but still: the original series dealt with members of the Misley family - the widowed father Tony (Tony Danza) and his young daughter Samantha (Alyssa Milano) - who leave Brooklyn to start a new life.

Tony, a professional baseball player who was forced to retire due to injury, begins working as a housekeeper for the wealthy Bauer family - the divorced mother Angela (Judith Lite), her son Jonathan (Danny Pintauro) and grandmother Mona (Catherine Helmond).

A friendship develops between them all, and between Tony and Angela even love, and over the years, despite the initial difficulties and frictions, the two small families become one big family.

Big family.

"who is the boss?",

And now to the million-dollar questions: Who will return to the sequel series, which was acquired by Amazon, and what will it deal with at all?

Well, Tony and Samantha are sure to be there, and the plot will focus on the generation gap between them.

Samantha will actually be a single mother, living with her children and retired father in the same house.

Danza (71) and Milan (49) will even produce the new series.

It is not yet known which of the other characters will participate in the series, but Grandma Mona, unfortunately, will not return, as Katherine Helmond passed away about three years ago.

Pintauro, 46, however, revealed in 2015 that he had AIDS, and even suffered from drug addictions.

Since then he has rarely appeared in front of the camera and in recent years has worked as a technician in a veterinary clinic, but this year he is expected to appear in a TV Christmas movie, so he would not be surprised if he steps into Jonathan's shoes again, at least in a guest role.

It is also not inconceivable that Lite (73), who works in television non-stop, will return as well.
