EA with big plans - Insider sees three bold announcements in July

EA has so far stayed out of the trade fair presentations in 2022.
However, new announcements from the publisher are to come soon, as an insider has revealed.
Redwood City, California – EA hasn't given a presentation on its own upcoming games for quite some time.
That shouldn't happen again this year either, but that doesn't mean that the major publisher won't be announcing any games this year.
On the contrary, an insider says that EA will announce three new games in the coming month alone.

Where does the information come from?
Anyone who deals with leaks and insider information about games has certainly stumbled across the name Tom Henderson in recent months.
Recently, The Insider has built a reputation as one of the more reliable sources for all things video gaming, branching out from its Call of Duty and Battlefield roots into general gaming.
Especially when it comes to EA, he seems to be the most active.
In a new report, Henderson has revealed which games the publisher will be announcing soon.
What games could EA announce?
First and foremost is what is probably the most obvious choice for a new game when it comes to EA: FIFA 23. Like clockwork, the publisher releases a new part of the football simulation every autumn.
So, it's time for EA to ramp up the FIFA 23 reveal for this year.
The upcoming offshoot should be the last with FIFA in the name before the cooperation between EA and the football organization ends next year.
The fact that EA finally wants to make an official trailer announcement for the next skate should come as a salvation for skateboard fans and street surfers.
The new part of the series was teased for the first time in 2020, but at the time Full Circle, the studio responsible for Skate, was still under construction.

Finally, a new Need for Speed is in the starting blocks.
The fact that a new part is being created and is in the works at the Criterion development studio has also been known for the traditional racing game series for some time.
Most recently, Criterion scaled back work on the new Need for Speed to help DICE develop Battlefield 2042.
Apparently the development is in full swing again, so that the racing game experts will soon be able to present their new work.
According to Henderson, the new part will be called "Need for Speed: Unbound".

When could the announcement come?
The last EA Play Live was almost a year ago and also took place in July 2021.
So you might think that EA would make a new presentation.
However, the publisher has already stated that it will not be organizing its own showcase this year - so the individual games will probably be revealed and shown separately via spontaneous trailers, albeit in a very short period of time.
At least that's the view of Tom Henderson, who at the same time indicated that FIFA and Need for Speed would be coming in the second half of the month.
