Money for mini-jobbers: Experts advise applying for funding for further training for a 450-euro job

If you want to continue your professional training as a mini-jobber, you have several options.

Even as a mini-jobber, you are entitled to professional training opportunities.
How and to what extent funding is conceivable depends on the respective federal state.
State subsidies for professional training bring many advantages in working life.
Mini-jobbers can also benefit from this.
If they receive unemployment benefit II, they can inquire about support for further vocational training at the responsible job center.
But other employees who earn a maximum of 450 euros can also apply for funding.
This is indicated by the mini job center of the German pension insurance.

Access routes differ per federal state
However, the funding opportunities and admission requirements vary in the respective federal states.
In North Rhine-Westphalia, for example, mini-jobbers are supported with the help of the so-called Bildungsscheck NRW, which covers half of the further training costs.
The funding is capped at 500 euros.
The limit may be higher in other federal states.
The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Federal Employment Agency offer a nationwide overview of further vocational training opportunities.
Incidentally, mini-jobbers can also claim the announced energy flat-rate.
