"We bought a radar to measure speeds and show that nobody respects the 30 km / h today in Paris", explains Alexis Frémeaux, president of the association "Better move by bicycle".
A few meters away, his colleague points the famous machine, similar to a wireless hair dryer, at the cars parading on Boulevard Henri IV.
On the screen, the speeds are displayed, varying from 34 km/h to 51 km/h.
"Small speeding" which should not be overlooked insists Alexis Frémeaux.
“If you have a small child who leaves school and crosses suddenly, this can have serious consequences”, he explains, recalling that the risk of death in the event of a collision increases considerably, past 50 km/ h.
