MEETING - At 28, violinist Thomas Lefort is launching his own event today, in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Like him, more and more budding soloists dare the adventure and take their elders on board.

He expresses himself as he plays.

With determination and sincerity.

The first time we met Thomas Lefort was at the Long-Thibaud-Crespin competition in 2018. He seduced us with his skin-deep sensitivity and his desire to undertake.

Two qualities that cancel each other out in most musicians.

Not at his place.

At 28, the man who is about to experience his first festival this afternoon as artistic director still displays the same feverish enthusiasm as when he was dreaming of his future as a soloist, a few minutes before the semi-final of the Long-Thibaud.

His classic stars at Saint-Germain-en-Laye?

He imagined them in the midst of a pandemic, and talks about them with supernovas in his eyes.

“More than a dream come true, it is a reality elevated to the rank of a dream

,” he summarizes.

I wanted to give voice to young musicians.

But also to renew the distended link between the general public and the classic.

With a program that is aimed at everyone and invites you to travel with us.
