There are some simple steps that will make the transition easier.

The transition from kindergarten to first grade is one of the most exciting moments for children, and also for their parents.
Every parent will want to buy the best schoolbag for their child, and fill it with the most great equipment.
Anything that will help the boy's success and the girl's success in first grade.
But what about their emotional satchel?
What about the social schoolbag?
The cognitive?
Well, here too the aspiration of many parents is to fulfill it to the best of their ability, those who will also help for success in first grade in particular and in school in general.
But how do you do that?
Here are some ideas to help you take advantage of the coming summer months to prepare your kids for first grade.
Tell your children stories
Did you know that many children fail the audition tests already in first grade?
Language tests throughout elementary school are built, among other things, on reading comprehension of a narrative text.
Therefore, it is very important that children listen to a lot of stories in the pre-school period.
It is also important that parents ask a few questions about the story to see if it has really been understood: What did the protagonist do in the story?
Do you know it happened to me too when I was little?
Has a similar thing ever happened to you?
What do you think ?, and so on.
The more we mediate their meanings in the story, the deeper their understanding will be, not only in this story, but in other stories as well.
At the same time, the questions should be limited and not on a daily basis, in order not to bother or give a feeling that the child is on the test.
We want children to enjoy stories, so the key words are: finding the right balances.
Go out to the playground
Allow the children to climb, jump, swing, ride a bike, run and run wild as they please.
Gross motor skills and body control will increase their confidence in their body, and will also help organize and control the space.
Pay attention to repeated falls, lack of control of the posture muscles and especially avoidance of physical activity.
If you recognize these difficulties - this is a signal that you should seek advice.
Play a lot of kneading games
Games like plasticine, dough, das, mud or sand are important for strengthening the muscles of the little ones' palms.
It will help a lot when they want to write, and regulate their writing.
Throughout the school years our children write by hand and do not type on a computer.
Studies point to the importance of handwriting as improving thinking.
Check how the child is holding the paint or pencil.
It is important.

Please note - when a child draws or writes in a messy organization on the page, when a child exerts disproportionate pressure on the pencil, writes too weakly or scratches, when we notice ineffective pencil grip (one that is not with three fingers) it is advisable to seek diagnosis at an occupational clinic before entering the house the book.
Let your children choose
What to eat for dinner (out of 2-3 options);
What to wear to school or kindergarten (out of 2-3 options);
Who to play with and what book he wants to read (even if you think it is low literature or no literature at all).
Choice involves giving up.
When I choose to eat an omelet for dinner, I give up the pizza.
When I choose which book to call me I give up the other two.
But if I practice choice as a routine part of my childhood, I will probably be better able to choose a future major, choose a position in the military, a future profession and maybe even a spouse.
Encourage your children to maintain communication channels
Encourage the child to talk independently with the kindergarten teacher, assistant and teacher, and try not to talk to them.
Share with the kindergarten teacher your decision to give your child the opportunity to solve the problems in front of her.
Encourage the child that if a problem arises that he is unable to solve, he can approach and explain.
This point is an integral part of nurturing the child's own confidence.
Join him, support him, but let him speak and explain his words.
Slowly he will need less and less of your support and will be able to do things on his own.

Most importantly - strengthen their self-confidence
Just as you bought your child the most ergometically appropriate schoolbag, the right pencils or the most branded notebooks, so you will need to fill his virtual schoolbag with confidence, a sense of ability, the ability to understand the friend, perseverance, learning from failures.
If you send your kids to a first grade preparation course, it's great, but an hour or two a week, can not replace your support in the process.
In order for there to be real and comprehensive preparation, it is important that the home contributes its humble and effortless part.
