Equity markets in the Old Continent
all fell sharply at the start of the session,
in line with fears of recession in the United States: the London Stock Exchange fell 1.6%, Paris and Frankfurt at the start of the session two percentage points.
Clearly negative start of the session also in Piazza Affari: the Ftse Mib index falls by 1.53%, the Ftse all share marks a decrease of 1.44%.
Also bad were Amsterdam (-1.5%) and Madrid (-1.2%), while the prices in Moscow rose slightly.
A rise in the
price of gas
on the Amsterdam market, a reference point for Europe: in early exchanges, methane rises by 3% to 145 euros per megawatt hour.
Euro this morning slightly recovered against the dollar.
