The Spanish police arrested a total of six suspects a few days after a theft in a holiday home belonging to former Brazilian soccer star Ronaldo on the Balearic island of Ibiza.
As reported by the AFP news agency, citing investigators, two of them were caught in the port of Dénia in eastern Spain, the other four in Málaga in southern Spain.
According to the "Diario Sur", the two arrested in Dénia went into the network when leaving an Ibiza ferry.
According to Spanish media, it is believed to be a gang of burglars made up of four Albanians, one Romanian and one Spaniard.
PSG pro Verratti vacationed at Ronaldo's house
Ronaldo's holiday home, which is reportedly located in Sant Josep on Ibiza, was broken into on Monday.
Ronaldo had made the house available to the still active professional soccer player Marco Verratti from the French club Paris Saint-Germain.
Verratti was not in the house with his family at the time of the crime.
The "Diario de Ibiza" recently reported that the burglars had been waiting for Verratti to leave the house with his family.
Jewelry and cash with an estimated total value of three million euros were stolen during the theft.
The police found most of the loot.
