(ANSA) - ROME - About one in four Italians say they listen to music in the kitchen and 21% listen to it during meals.
The main reason (61%) is given by the fact that listening to music at meals "increases the satisfaction related to what you are eating".
This is what emerges from a survey by Uber Eats (food ordering and delivery platform), which involved nearly 1,200 people with the aim of identifying and analyzing how food has increasingly entered the emotional sphere of man. linking to other experiential elements of the person, such as listening to music and preference for specific musical genres.
The analysis shows that most of the interviewees state that they listen to classical music (23%) during meals.
Pop music (22%), rock music (17%), jazz (14%), dance (10%) and metal (9%) follow.
When asked to know what kind of musical genre the interviewees would associate with the most common dishes, it emerges that classic music is preferred with spaghetti, pop genre with pizza margherita, jazz music with sushi, dance music with poke, such as for the hamburger, while metal music is associated with ethnic cuisine.
