Russian parliament passes a law against foreign media

Russian deputies have passed a law that will make it easier to shut down a foreign media in Russia. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - MOSCOW, June 30 - Russian deputies have approved a law that will make it easier to close a foreign media in Russia.

The new rule gives the Russian Attorney General and his deputies the right, "in the event of hostile action by a foreigner against a Russian media abroad, to swiftly make a decision to ban or restrict the activities of this country's media in Russia", makes known the Duma.
