The former CEO of FS and RFI Mauro Moretti was sentenced to 5 years in the appeal process bis for the railway massacre of Viareggio (Lucca) of 29 June 2009. In the first appeal Moretti was sentenced to 7 years, in this new trial ordered by the Cassation, the Attorney General had asked for 6 years and 9 months.
In this trial, Moretti did not renounce to avail himself of the prescription differently from the previous degrees of judgment
