(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, June 30 - American Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke today with Palestinian President Abu Mazen to discuss President Joe Biden's upcoming trip to the Middle East.
This was reported by the State Department in a note.
Blinken stressed "the commitment of the United States to improve the quality of life of the Palestinian people in concrete ways and the support of the administration for a negotiated two-state solution."
The US secretary also reiterated the importance of thorough, transparent and impartial investigations into the circumstances of the murder of Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh.
