The cruise ship Norwegian Sun struck a piece of an iceberg near Hubbard Glacier in Alaska on Saturday.

According to the US Coast Guard, it was damaged by the impact on the starboard bow, as reported by CNN.

Divers examined the ship and found that it was still seaworthy.

It was able to continue at a slower speed to its homeport in Seattle, where it is now scheduled for repairs.

Apparently no one was injured in the collision.

A Nevada family on board said the impact sounded like a door slamming.

Benjamin Talbott was out with his family when his brother noticed something in the water and asked him to get his cell phone out.

Talbott recorded the cruise ship hitting the large iceberg.

Suddenly the whole ship shook.

And I was like, "What's going on here?

And then I had to start recording and I looked at the front of the ship and all I saw was this...iceberg.

And I was like, oh my god, we hit an iceberg,” he said.
