(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 01 JUL - The Senate of the State of New York approved an amendment to enshrine the right to abortion and access to contraception in the constitution of the Empire State, after the shock decision of the Supreme Court to cancel the historic 'Roe sentence v.
Wade '.
The measure, which also prohibits any kind of racial, ethnic and sexual discrimination, must now be approved by the House and then submitted to a referendum in November.
Other states also want to include the right to abortion in their 'charter'.
