On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the French campus of the Savannah College of Arts and Design located in Lacoste, an unprecedented exhibition highlighting the creations of the virtuoso creator of the cut is scheduled throughout the summer.

Around twenty sculptural creations by the Algerian stylist have joined the land of welcome of the Marquis de Sade and many artists of the 20th century.

“With twenty models, it was necessary to go to the essential”, confides Olivier Saillard, curator of the exhibition.

Understand: iconic pieces by the master tailor ranging from a reissue of an immaculate white dress worn by Grace Jones to a stunning zipped sheath dress.

These are exhibited in a place renovated by the university, located at the epicenter of the medieval village, very close to the Château de Lacoste, which served as a refuge for the Marquis de Sade.

Ultimate moment of joy: the American campus which prepares the artists of tomorrow for the needs of companies offers a mini-documentary carried by the voice of Naomi Campbell retracing the story of Azzedine Alaïa whom she liked to nickname "Dad".

Or a unique gateway to the creative work of Azzedine Alaïa.

And a perfect reason to (re)discover the Luberon.

Exhibition open to the general public from June 27 to October 29.

From Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. to discover Rue du Four in Lacoste.

The Botter label crowned at Andam 2022

Lisi Herreburgh and Rushemy Botter, winner of the ANDAM 2022 Abaca Grand Prix

"It's surreal, we're walking on clouds," raves Rushemy Botter, co-founder of the eponymous brand.

This Thursday, June 30, the prestigious jury of Andam composed among others of Bruno Pavlovsky, president of Chanel mode, or even, François-Henri Pinault, president of the Kering group, has, in fact, awarded the Grand Prix of ANDAM 2022 to the creative duo Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herreburgh, founder of Botter.

A consecration for the men's ready-to-wear brand committed to the poetic and colorful universe.

Since 2018, the two designers, who worked for Nina Ricci, have been building collections inspired by their Caribbean origins with recovered or recycled fabrics.

It is therefore quite natural that the duo has announced that it is committed to devoting part of the 300,000 euros won to sustainable projects.

"We have so many innovative ideas - it's time to change fashion," says Lisi Herrebrugh.

Here they are launched for good.

An award to encourage entrepreneurship in fashion

Alexandre Mattiussi and the winners of the Ami X IFM Entrepreneurship Prize.

“We talk a lot about creative brands, but little about the entrepreneurial side,” explains Sarah Andelman.

The founder of the late concept store Colette was part of the jury for the first edition of the entrepreneurship prize co-created by the AMI brand and the Institut français de la mode.

It aims to encourage young talent to develop viable long-term projects.

“Much of Ami's success comes from the innovative combination of his style and his bold entrepreneurial spirit,” explains Nicolas Santi-Weil, the current CEO of Ami, who initiated this award.

And whose meeting was “providential” for Alexandre Mattiussi.

Entrepreneurs Guillaume Hiriat Carriat, founder of ATXI, and Leopolda Contaux-Bellina, founder of SED Nove Studio, accompanied by IFM students Arita Krasniqi and Maria Kopytko emerged as winners of this first edition.

A favorite prize was also awarded to Studio Paillette, an innovative fashion rental platform.

In this selection, particular attention was given to branding, the collection plan, how to manage cash flow and the foundation of legal aspects.

Essential elements that contribute to the success of a company and on which brands are still struggling to communicate.
