There are the first real pictures of Sony's PSVR 2.
The PS5 headset seems much smaller than expected.
Tokyo, Japan - Sony probably didn't expect that.
So far, images of the new PlayStation VR headset have only appeared at official press previews or on the company's website.
But now the development studio Bit Planet Games shared a supposed snapshot of the PSVR 2 on their profile.
The image has since been deleted by the studio, but the photo continues to circulate on other sites.

Twitter post shows the headset:
The development studio Bit Planet Games shared a picture of the PSVR 2 a few hours ago. However, this was not one of the well-known press photos of the headset, but a privately shot photo.
The next-gen VR glasses with their associated controllers are staged on a black leather armchair.

The picture was probably created by the developer studio's collaboration with Sony, as Bit Planet Games is apparently working on a game title for the PSVR 2.
After the studio's post, however, some users wondered whether the studio was violating non-disclosure agreements.
And they were probably not wrong at all, because the picture was deleted a short time later.
That's striking:
The picture doesn't show much that's new, because the headset, including the controller and connection cable, has already been presented in official pictures from Sony.
The only thing that stands out is the size of the headset, because it looks rather small compared to the controllers.
PSVR 2: Official release date not yet known
This is already known at the time of release:
PSVR 2 was originally supposed to be on the market at the end of 2022.
However, it is suspected that the headset may not be released until spring 2023 due to delivery bottlenecks in VR displays.
But Sony promised a lot of games for the release, including big brands like:

Exclusive to PS5:
The PSVR 2 will only be compatible with the PS5, replacing the original VR headset from Sony, which was launched in 2016.
With its new headset, Sony wants to create a range of sensory impressions for its users.
At CES 2022, Sony Interactive Entertainment boss, Jim Ryan, announced more information about the PSVR 2.
