Italy were defeated 7-5 by the Netherlands in the final for the bronze medal at the 2022 World Women's Waterpolo Championships, taking place in Budapest.
The Setterosa, beaten in the semifinals by the US, had gained a three-goal lead, on 4-1, to return to the podium after seven years, but then suffered the comeback of the Dutch.
