As if the prices of many products weren't already high enough, there seems to be no end to the top.

Many things continue to get more and more expensive.

Dortmund – At first glance, the new price increases do not seem so dramatic: ten cents more for this product or 40 cents more for another food.

But if you go shopping more often and sometimes end up with more expensive products in your shopping cart, you can end up with a few sums, as RUHR24 knows.

Aldi, Edeka, Lidl: New price increases in supermarkets – many things are even more expensive

Dairy products are particularly badly affected and therefore have a dramatic impact on the wallet.

This is now reported, among other things, by the

Lebensmittelzeitung.

Punctually on July 1, Aldi turned the price screw and, for example, made a liter of organic whole milk 50 cents more expensive.

The problem: The competition, such as Lidl and Edeka, usually follows within a few days.

But even those who do without organic whole milk cannot avoid higher prices.

A liter of whole milk was recently 17 cents more expensive - low-fat fresh milk cost 15 cents more.

Many other dairy products are also affected, such as buttermilk, coffee cream, crème fraiche or sour cream (read more news about supermarkets and discounters on RUHR24).

If you now take a look at the figures from the Milch Industrie Verband, you will get dizzy.

As of 2021, a German citizen consumed 47.8 kilograms of drinking milk per year, as well as 29.1 kilograms of mixed milk drinks, yoghurt and similar products - a decent amount that has now also become significantly more expensive.

Aldi, Edeka, Lidl: New price increases mainly affect dairy products

Unfortunately, there are many other products or services, such as Deutsche Post, that tear even bigger holes in the pockets.

As

chip.de

reports, more than 20 products in supermarkets and discounters such as Aldi, Edeka and Lidl became more expensive in the last week of June.

Here, too, dairy products are mentioned first, which have been given higher prices.

According to the report, cheese and potato products became significantly more expensive in some cases.

While many varieties only cost ten cents more, Harzer Käse in the role, available from Rewe, costs an impressive 40 cents more.

Butter or Kaiser vegetables, for example, and frozen fries were also four to ten cents more expensive.

Aldi, Edeka, Lidl are becoming more expensive: Meat is also affected by price increases

If you need new ketchup, you have to pay more for it at Aldi Nord and Süd, Rewe or Lidl: 20 cents more are due for it.

From now on, tortilla chips will also cost ten to 20 cents more, for example at Rewe.

Meanwhile, there was a price increase of 14 cents for apple juice.

The higher prices for meat, which has not happened for the first time in the past few weeks, should also be painful for many.

Unfortunately, price increases, such as those from Aldi, have also been secret in the past.

In addition to food, other products were also affected:

chip.de

names deodorant, lip balm and hair dye from drugstores in its report.

Unfortunately, there is no end in sight for the higher prices: As reported by the

FAZ

, for example , citing the Munich Ifo Institute, retailers are planning further price increases in the coming months.
