Turkel plays Loyd, the bartender of the Overlook Hotel, who hands a glass of alcohol to Jack Torrance alias Jack Nicholson.

Joe Turkell was born on July 15, 1927 in the Brooklyn neighborhood of New York.
In 1943, he enlisted in the US Army.
He is only sixteen years old.
A brave fighter of the Second World War, he will fight on the European front.
After the war, he devoted himself to his vocation, the profession of actor.
The anthologies of the seventh art will remember that he worked three times under the direction of Stanley Kubrick: from 1956 in
