Hallucination in the air: A huge "flying hotel" that should not land for years

An imaging video created by a Berlin scientist shows a nuclear-powered conceptual aircraft capable of staying in the air for several years, carrying 5,000 passengers and including restaurants, a mall and a pool.

On the other hand, there are those who already call it the "new Titanic"

It looks like a hallucination and it sounds like a hallucination, but there are those who strongly believe in this ambitious project: a huge and luxurious "flying hotel" with a nuclear propulsion system that will be able to carry 5,000 passengers.

A recently released computer simulation video demonstrates what this conceptual vehicle will look like, which will be flown by artificial intelligence and will be able to stay in the air for years thanks to nuclear propulsion.

In fact, the only landings will be to pick up or drop off passengers.

This futuristic hybrid between a plane and a hotel will boast no less than 20 engines, and the person responsible for the innovative idea is Hashem al-Riley, a scientist and video creator from Berlin.

"A nuclear-powered cruise in the sky could be the future of transportation," he says, adding that the plane will operate 24/7 and that the repairs themselves will be required while flying.

When asked how many people will be needed to fly the huge aircraft, he replies: "With all this technology,

Do you still expect it to have pilots?

I believe it will be completely autonomous. "

The SUN website reports that the aircraft, dubbed the Sky Cruise, will still require many crew members on board, in order to serve the many passengers that will be hosted on it.

The video also showcases restaurants, a huge mall, a gym, a theater hall and even a swimming pool.

In addition, it can even be booked for weddings, mainly thanks to a panoramic hall that offers breathtaking views in all directions.

Because of the nucleus: it will destroy an entire city if it crashes

Despite the big promises, not everyone shares the enthusiasm, and some even call the project the "new Titanic", due to a number of design issues.

For example, there are those who pointed out the enormous difficulty in taking off, due to its considerable weight.

Its design is also not aerodynamic, as can be seen in the photographs.

And some argue that a plane of this type, propelled by a nuclear propulsion system, could destroy an entire city, in the event of a crash.

Surfers who watched the video on social media reacted, as expected, with mixed feelings.

One passenger noted that "it really is a great idea to put a nuclear reactor into something that might not function and fall from the sky."

Another surfer wrote: I can probably afford to stay on the lower deck only, with no legroom and no access to the lounge. "And a third surfer responded:" These transparent elevators are really not for me.

And in general, quite suspiciously, the engines look the same as regular jet engines. "And someone added:" If physics and aerodynamics did not exist,

If the project does materialize, it will only happen in the distant future (Photo: Screenshot, YouTube)

Only for the rich?

In addition to these, one has to take into account the tremendous cost of development - as well as the fact that a journey in this type of tool will cost a huge fortune.

"There is no doubt that even if they succeed in building it, only the rich will be able to use it."

And another commenter noted: "Funny! It's like someone got into a time machine, traveled to 2070, found a retro video based on our era, describing how people from our era thought our future would look like."

Of course, if the project does materialize, it will only happen in the distant future.

And besides, there are things that will not change even in the distant future.

Or as one commenter wrote: "I bet that on this whole flight, I will still be seated next to someone else's screaming girl."
