(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 03 - The Turkish customs authorities have stopped a Russian cargo ship, which transported grain, in the Ukrainian port of Berdyansk in Karasu.
This was declared by the Ukrainian ambassador to Turkey, as reported by the Guardian.
"We have full cooperation. The ship is currently stopped at the port entrance and has been detained by the customs authorities of Turkey," Ambassador VasylBodnar told Ukrainian national television.
Ukraine had requested the seizure of the ship, which was located off the Turkish coast, accusing Russia of stealing Ukrainian grain, a charge denied by Russia.
