Numerous changes are coming to Sky subscribers.

Football fans in particular should benefit from the new program structure.

Munich – A few weeks ago, Sky announced that Sky Ticket would become “Wow”.

Now the broadcaster is apparently turning the entire program structure upside down.

The sports broadcaster is also affected.

There are new stations and previous stations are being realigned, the station announced in a press release.

So Sky starts the new channel Sky Sport Top Event.

This channel is said to be a highlight channel "with the best content" from Sky Sport.

Also new are the 24-hour channels Sky Sport Premier League, Sky Sport Tennis and Sky Sport Golf.

Like Sky Sport F1 before, these channels are aimed at viewer subscribers who are only interested in one of the sports.

Sky Sport Bundesliga and Formula 1 will remain

Sky Sport Bundesliga, Sky Sport F1 - Formula 1 - and Sky Sport News will remain in place, the company said.

Sky Sport Mix is also new - with this offer, Sky viewers can watch the DFB Cup, HBL, NHL and the Diamond League.

If several broadcasts of a sport take place at the same time, feed channels 211 to 230 continue to exist.

In addition to the launch of the new broadcast formats, selected channels will also change their broadcast slot.

The non-stop Bundesliga channel "Sky Sport Bundesliga" is fixed at slot 202. The motorsport channel Sky Sport F1 moves from slot 201 to slot 203. Sky Sport UHD changes from slot 202 to slot 209.

Sky boss wants to go deeper with additional broadcasting space

"With the reorganization of the channel structure, we are making it easier for our sports-loving customers to find their favorite sport," believes Charly Classen, head of sports at Sky Germany.

In addition, Sky can go even deeper with the additional broadcasting area in order to be able to show sports 24 hours a day on eight channels.

With Sky Sport F1, the best experience has led to the expansion of this type of channel to other sports, Classen continued.

Sky Sport: Football fans have to pay more and more for their favorite sport

When asked whether Sky would also become more expensive with the conversion, Sky boss Charly Classen answered

Bild.de

with a resolute "no".

Currently, the “Bundesliga” and “Sport” packages together only cost 23.50 euros per month.

The streaming offer WOW for live sports is available from 24.99 euros per month.

Football fans who are willing to put money on the table for their sport criticize the fact that they have to take out more and more Sky subscriptions in order to be able to watch their favorite sports live on television.

This is sometimes expensive.

And it's hard to understand when you have to subscribe to up to six channels.

And this is exactly where Sky wants to start with its conversion.

You can also access DAZN and Amazon Prime subscriptions via Sky Q, according to Classen

at

Bild.de.

And all this via a voice remote control.

Classen answers evasively at Bild.de

whether the Champions League will return to Sky in the foreseeable future

.

"We look at every right very carefully."

As head of sports, he wished for the Champions League at Sky.

But as is the case with desires.

They cost a lot of money (see video).

And so far, competitor DAZN has been ahead of the game and has secured all rights to the Champions League.
