Bavarian police have discovered and recovered the body of a missing 17-year-old who died on a trip to Lake Tegernsee.
According to the Oberbayern Süd police headquarters, the 17-year-old set out with his father for kayaking on Saturday.
The father noticed on land that his son's kayak had capsized and did not see his son again.
He alerted the emergency services.
Divers, a police boat and a helicopter searched for the young man.
On Sunday around 9 p.m. the missing person was discovered using a diving robot.
He was already dead.
According to their own statements, the investigators are assuming it was a tragic accident.
