ECB: green turn, on bonds we will look at climate changes

(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 04 - Green turning point for the ECB.

The Governing Council of the institution decided to "take further steps to include climate change considerations in the Eurosystem monetary policy framework" and to "adjust corporate bond holdings in the Eurosystem's monetary policy portfolios and its guarantee framework, to introduce requirements climate reporting and improve its risk management practices ".

"With these decisions we are transforming our commitment to combat climate change into real action," says ECB President Christine Lagarde.
