Epic Games has released a new outfit featuring artist Kaws.
However, fans of the Battle Royale would have much preferred to see new cosmetics from Stranger Things.
Cary, North Carolina – New cosmetics made their way to the Item Shop in Fortnite this past weekend.
Again, there's a crossover with a big name from outside of gaming, plus a variation on a fan-favorite skin.
The collaboration between Epic Games and artist Kaws is mediocre at best.
They would have wanted a completely different crossover for the beginning of July, as reported by IPPEN.MEDIA ingame.de.

Fortnite: New Kaws skins come with variation of popular Schali outfit
What's that new outfit?
On July 1st, Epic Games unveiled a new collaboration with artist Kaws, best known for his cuddly skeleton creations.
In the Fortnite Item Shop there are now new cosmetics based around the creations of the pop art artist, with the new Kaws-Schali at the forefront.
This new outfit is a distinct take on the ever-popular banana, but with the addition of a new back accessory and the return of the Kaws skeletons to the shop.
The skeleton outfits were already found once in Fortnite in October of 2021.

How expensive are the Kaws skins?
As usual, the Kaws Shali and Kaws Skeleton outfits cost 1,200 V-Bucks as individual skins.
Alternatively, you can purchase Kaws Shali as a bundle and also get the Kaws Companion back accessory, Faraway Glider, and The Time Is Right weapon wrap.
You would normally have to shell out 2,300 V-Bucks for the package, but it currently only costs you 1,800 V-Bucks.
You can also buy the individual cosmetics separately, here is an overview of all prices:
Kaws Skeleton:
1,200 V-Bucks
Kaws Shali:
1,200 V-Bucks
Kaws Shali Pack:
1,800 V-Bucks
Glider "Far from Home":
800 V-Bucks
Wrap “The Time is Right”:
300 V-Bucks
Only the back accessory “Kaws Companion” cannot be bought separately.
If you want to call the small skeleton backpack your own, you can only get it in a package with the Schali outfit.
If you prefer not to spend money on V-Bucks, you can get the new Naruto skins in Fortnite for free.
Fortnite: The fans' verdict on Kaws is poor, there was hope for another crossover
What do the fans think of the outfit?
With the last Kaws release in October 2021, the skeletons were quite popular.
Back then, many creators featured the Kaws skins in their videos, and the rest of the fanbase loved them as well.
In July 2022, however, the mood is different.
At the start of the summer month, the community would have wanted a completely different collaboration.

This month also saw the release of the final two episodes of Stranger Things season 4, and fans would have much preferred another crossover with the Netflix series.
There was also a crossover there before, but that was almost three years ago.
That's why more and more fans are now getting loud on Reddit and Twitter, demanding a return of the Stranger Things items or venting their disappointment with the Kaws skins.
Could Stranger Things be coming back to Fortnite?
Until recently, there was hope that another Stranger Things crossover could happen in Fortnite.
There was a popular theory among fans that an item with the filename "WaffleWarrior" could actually be Eleven from Stranger Things.
Apparently, the code name served as a placeholder for the new free skin Major Mancake in Fortnite.
For now, it doesn't seem like new Stranger Things-themed skins are coming to Fortnite again.
