Harry Styles 'devastated' by Copenhagen shooting, cancels concert

A 22-year-old Dane on Sunday killed three people and injured several others. At the start of the evening, the British singer was to give a concert in front of more than 10,000 spectators at the Royal Arena.

by the deadly shooting that occurred late Sunday afternoon, July 3, in a Copenhagen shopping center.

He canceled a planned concert in the city.

Three people were killed and several others injured in a shootout at the capital's Field's shopping mall, Danish police said, adding they had arrested a 22-year-old Dane and charged him with manslaughter.

“I am heartbroken with the people of Copenhagen.

I love this city.

The people are so warm and full of love.

I am devastated for the victims, their families and all who are suffering,”

the former One Direction member wrote on Twitter.

"I'm sorry we couldn't be together.

Please watch out for each other.”

Senior Police Inspector Soren Thomassen said on Monday July 4 that there was no indication the shooting was an

"act of terror"

or that the suspect had acted with other people.

Nevertheless, he said the gunman killed two 17-year-old teenagers (a man and a woman), as well as a 47-year-old Russian citizen living in Denmark.
