The public prosecutor accuses the assassin from Copenhagen of intentional homicide and attempted homicide.

This was reported by several Danish media from the man's hearing before a magistrate.

The 22-year-old Dane shot dead three people in a shopping center in the Danish capital early Sunday evening and seriously injured four others.

The interrogation took place behind closed doors at the request of the prosecution.

According to the Danish media, the defendant's defense attorney said his client did not want to comment publicly on the allegations.

In his questioning, however, the assassin admitted to having been in the shopping center during the gun attack, according to the police.

Two 17-year-olds and a 47-year-old man were killed in the attack.

Shortly after the crime, the police arrested the 22-year-old, where they found a gun and a knife.

The investigators do not assume a terrorist background.

The man shot people indiscriminately and apparently acted alone.

They gave no information about his motive.

The man has claimed psychiatric help in the past.

Videos of the man are circulating online, which investigators classify as authentic.

In it he poses with weapons, mimics suicidal gestures and speaks of psychotropic drugs "that don't work".

"Deepest condolences"

According to Danish media, the accused published the videos on Friday.

The YouTube and Instagram accounts attributed to the suspect have now been blocked.

The federal government declared that it was "deeply saddened" by this "disgusting act".

The federal government expresses its "heartfelt condolences" to all those affected, said government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit.
