A restraining order has been issued against pop star Ricky Martin in his native Puerto Rico on allegations of domestic violence.

This is reported by the police and refers to the decision of a judge.

Martin will not be charged with any crime.

The police did not say who applied for the order and what exactly the musician was accused of.

Martin denies allegations of domestic violence.

The protective order issued against him by the court "is based on completely false allegations," writes the 50-year-old on Twitter.

He will face the court proceedings with the sense of responsibility that characterizes him.

He could not comment on the details as it is an ongoing process.

Representatives of the singer and actor also rejected the allegations in a statement.

The allegations are "completely false and fabricated," it says: "We are very confident that when the true facts of this matter come to light, our client Ricky Martin will be completely right."

Martin sued by ex-manager

At the end of June it became known that Martin may soon have to answer in court in another case.

A former manager of the musician has sued him for more than three million dollars in unpaid commissions, as reported by several US media.

The plaintiff accordingly represented and advised the Puerto Rican singer between 2014 and 2018 and again from 2020 to 2022 - allegedly because Martin's "personal and professional life was in absolute turmoil".

He made millions of dollars with her support alone, so he owes her "significant commissions," according to the 15-page lawsuit.

The manager also claims that Martin regularly manipulated and lied to her - which is why she finally ended her business relationship with the musician in April this year.

Martin has not yet commented on the case.
