Only three out of five TGVs will run on the East axis, and three out of four trains on the North and Atlantic axes, the group announced.

Bad news for holidaymakers: TER traffic should be severely disrupted on Wednesday July 6 by a strike, SNCF Voyageurs said on Monday.

The main lines are concerned, as well as the local lines.

In detail, around a quarter of the TGVs should be canceled on the eve of the summer holidays.

Three out of five TGVs should notably run on the East axis, and three out of four trains on the North and Atlantic axes.

The SNCF indicates that consequences are possible from Tuesday July 5 at the end of the day and until Thursday July 7 morning.

In Île-de-France, the RER B should also be disrupted: only one train out of two will run on this line on July 6.

The four representative unions of the SNCF have called for a strike to influence wage negotiations.

For its part, the group is expecting a record summer, with demand being particularly strong.

More information to come.
